Beach Day= A Great Day

Ah, the beach is where doing absolutely nothing is doing something. Being at the beach is one way I implement self-care. Self-care in it’s simplest form is taking care of oneself. Self-care refers to the ability to promote and maintain your health as well as cope with stressors. Self-Care is crucial to prevent burnout and one we need to prioritize. Self-care looks different for each person, however the desired result is the same,well-being, health, and happiness. Surrender yourself to the practice of self-care because you deserve it. I love all that the beach has to offer including riding the waves, toes in the sand, and the sun on my face. As soon as I see the water I am instantly happy and at peace. The ocean stirs my heart, inspires imagination, and brings eternal joy to my soul. My latest beach day was a little cool but was still absolutely enjoyable. Living in New Jersey is great during the summer because there are so many beaches to choose from. I usually pack a lunch with plenty of snacks, water, a book and just sit back and enjoy the day. Make sure to apply and reapply sunscreen, sun protection can help prevent sunburn and lower skin cancer risks. Other ways to protect yourself from the sun is to wear sunglasses, use an umbrella and wear a hat. What’s your favorite self-care activity?
